IV therapy in Alpharetta
IV therapy delivers fluid and vitamins directly into the bloodstream, which is a faster route than drinking them. That is the entirety of the claim we will make for it. It is useful for hydration and it is popular, and we are not going to tell you it treats a condition, boosts your immune system, or does anything a well person's kidneys would not have handled on their own.

What it is
A cannula in a forearm vein delivers a sterile solution of fluid and water-soluble vitamins over about forty-five minutes. Because the route bypasses the digestive tract, absorption is complete and immediate rather than partial and delayed. That is the whole mechanism, and it is genuinely the only thing this route does differently.
The consequence people are rarely told: for a well-hydrated person with an ordinary diet, water-soluble vitamins delivered in excess of what the body can use are filtered out by the kidneys and excreted. The hydration is real. The rest depends entirely on whether you were short of something to begin with, and a marketing page is not the place that gets established.
What it feels like
One needle stick to place the cannula, then nothing but a cool sensation running up the arm for the first minute. Forty-five minutes sitting in a chair. Most people work or read through it.
Downtime
None. Occasional bruising at the cannula site for a few days.
How long it lasts
Hydration is immediate and lasts as long as hydration lasts. Nothing here produces a durable change, and we would rather say so than describe an interval that implies one.
Who it’s for — and who it isn’t
A good fit
- Someone who is dehydrated and wants to correct it quickly.
- Someone who wants this, understands what it does and does not do, and is not being sold a claim.
Not a fit
- Anyone seeking treatment for a symptom or a condition. That is a physician's appointment, and offering an infusion instead of that referral would be the wrong thing to do.
- Anyone who has been told this treats an illness, prevents one, or strengthens immunity. It does not, we will not say that it does, and we will correct it if you arrive having been told otherwise.
Who performs it here
Camille Duarte
RN, BSN
Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Performs delegated medical treatments under the medical direction and standing orders of Anita Rao, MD.
What it costs
A single published rate per session. There is no course, no package, and no tiered menu of named blends — a menu of names implies a menu of effects, and the effects are not different enough to justify the names.
Questions about iv therapy
Does this help with illness or immunity?
No, and we will not describe it that way. It delivers fluid and vitamins by a faster route than drinking them. If you are unwell, the correct appointment is with a physician, and we will say so rather than book you an infusion.
Is there any benefit over drinking water and taking a vitamin?
Speed and completeness of absorption, and that is it. For someone dehydrated it is a real difference. For someone well-hydrated with an ordinary diet, the honest answer is that most of the difference is excreted.
Who administers it?
A registered nurse, under the medical direction and standing orders of our medical director, after a good-faith exam. It is not offered on the basis of a website form.
Concerns this addresses
None, and that is not an omission. A concern is a question about why skin looks the way it does; this treatment does not answer one, which is why you will not find it under any of them.
